ALX Community Home of Incredible Alexandria Woman

“Jane has been running BRG since 2001 and throughout this time has mentored a number of women, including myself, and strongly believes in everyone achieving their own path to success.” – Anonymous
Earlier last month, Alexandria Living Magazine asked their readers to nominate some amazing women doing incredible things here in the Alexandria area. The local magazine wanted to recognize the great contributions that women have made to our local community and beyond. As a celebration of Women’s History Month, they wanted to honor and celebrate local women that inspire, lead and forge the way for other women. “It’s not just about one day or one month — it’s about what they do, day-in and day-out” said Alexandria Living. As a hub of bad-ass and inspirational female entrepreneurs, it was no surprise that an ALX Community Member was first to receive a shout out.
“She has set-up programs within BRG to help everyone achieve their own success, such as, “Better Living Bucks,” where the agency covers the cost of select, approved Personal Health & Wellness activities or items that support an individual’s better living. Jane also supports Professional Education & Skills Development for employees to participate in activities that further their career development… Additionally, there is a diverse make-up of men and women in various stages of their lives – from being single to getting married to going on family leave and raising children – all while still succeeding at BRG. This is incredibly motivating and shows Jane’s dedication to her team and their personal and professional growth.”
As founder and president of BRG Communications, Jane launched her business in 2001 to achieve her vision of an agency built on talent, flexibility, uncommon performance and results. Under her leadership, BRG has been recognized by Entrepreneur magazine as a “Hot 100” company to watch, received the Stevie Award for the Fastest-Growing Company of the Year, was named the “Fastest Growing Communications Agency in the Country” by PR Week, and was recognized as the Silver Stevie Award Honoree for its 15thAnniversary, Cause for a Celebration, campaign from the American Business Awards. Jane has also been named a Female Entrepreneur of the Year finalist by the Stevie Awards and a Best Communications Executive finalist by the American Business Awards.
As an industry veteran, Jane has extensive experience in building research-driven campaigns that build awareness, educate and drive audiences to action. She possesses a unique ability to identify what consumers care about, how they think and behave, and what motivates their shifting priorities. Since launching BRG, Jane has framed strategic programs for clients including Home Safety Council, Georgia-Pacific, Rubbermaid, Walmart Foundation, Aetna Foundation, Heart Rhythm Society, Fisher House Foundation, Partners for Breakfast in the Classroom and National Honor Societies. ALX Community could not be more proud to be the home and community of BRG and this incredible Alexandria woman. To learn more about Jane and BRG, check out her website here.
