ALX Community occupies the entire second floor in the recently redeveloped Founders Hall a multi-use building at 106 N Lee St, Alexandria. We have private offices ranging in size from 1-11+ people, loads of shared and dedicated desk options, high tech conference rooms and a super comfy common lounge area to meet with other members or just hang out.
ALX Community – Waterfront occupies the first and second floor of a recently renovated building on the Old Town waterfront. The beautiful space is designed with co-working and collaboration in mind – with private offices ranging in size from 1-33+ people, lots of shared and dedicated desks, high-tech conference rooms, private phone booths, and two super comfy lounges to meet with others or just hang out.
Meet Our Team
From 2000 to 2015 he served as Founder & CEO of Fishbowl, a venture-backed marketing and analytics company recently sold to STG partners. Prior to Fishbowl he spent 17 years with three successful start-up restaurant companies. He was co-founder and President of Amy’s Ice Creams, based in Austin, Texas; Partner & COO of CAFÉ TU TU TANGO, a Nation’s Restaurant News “Hot Concepts” award-winner; and Partner & COO of the Austin Grill, an award-winning seven-unit chain based in Washington, DC. In 2015 he co-founded Alexandria Restaurant Partners which now owns 7 unique full service concepts and in 2016 he founded KST Pop-Up, a retail concept focused on bringing emerging fashion and lifestyle brands to market. Scott will be responsible for coordinating all development projects, identification of new opportunities and leading the ventures retail activities.
Andrew spent 23 years with Grosvenor working in London, Washington DC, Tampa, San Francisco and Philadelphia serving as Senior Vice President of the Eastern Region, Chief Investment Officer for North America and Co-CEO the North American Fund Management business. In 2014, Andrew joined Carl M. Freeman, a local family business based in Rockville MD as Senior Vice President responsible for capital structuring, acquisitions, asset management and development. Andrew has completed in excess of $2.3 billion in acquisitions and over $500 million in dispositions throughout the US, a significant portion of which were in the Washington DC region all structured in joint ventures with local, national and overseas partners. Andrew will be responsible for the business operations of the fund, new asset acquisitions and structuring, analysis, financial projections, financing. Andrew will be responsible for joint venture relationships.
Kelly is a people and culture leader who has helped build award winning workplaces. Her experience working in early stage businesses as the Head of People and Talent has provided her a unique perspective of how to engage, foster, and build communities. Kelly also has significant experience managing office build outs and designing spaces to maximize collaborative environments for teams. She is super passionate about shared workspaces and focused on breaking the mold of the traditional office model.
