Drive-In Movies Coming To Alexandria For Six Weeks

Drive-in movies will benefit two Alexandria charities and include food trucks.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Drive-in movies have emerged as an entertainment alternative during the pandemic, and Alexandria is joining the party. The city’s drive-in movie series will kick off on Aug. 29 through Oct. 3.
Hosted by ALX Community and The Garden, the series will feature classic and family movies over six Saturdays. The drive-in location at 5001 Eisenhower Avenue can accommodate up to 215 cars per movie. The makeshift drive-in theater is located in a parking lot connected to commercial space owned by developer and event partner Stonebridge. >
