Tired of working at home? ALX Community is opening their fourth co-working location in Old Town in August.
The new two-story 17,000 square-foot office has waterfront views and will open at 101 N. Union Street on August 1, just a block away from their location at 201 N. Union Street.
The dog-friendly working spaces are designed for teams of five-to-30 people. The new office has 12 office suites, three meeting rooms, two kitchens and lounge space.
“Post-pandemic, many organizations have restructured to hybrid teams after realizing they don’t need the office sq. footage that they used to – especially when not everyone is in the office every day,” said Kelly Grant, partner of ALX Community Office Suites.
ALX Community opened their first location at 106 N. Lee Street (Founders Hall) in 2018, and then opened locations at 201 N. Union Street and at The Atrium at 277 S. Washington Street. The company is owned by Grant, Amanda Kate Galbraith and Alexandria Restaurant Partners’ Scott Shaw.

Each Office Suite is fully furnished and move-in ready. The Office Suites also feature large floor-to-ceiling windows with expansive waterfront views of the Potomac River and surrounding historic sites. All Office Suite floor plans have been thoughtfully designed with a combination of Private Offices and open desk space to support a variety of individual team needs.
