Every year since we started ALX Community, we have sponsored and/or participated in the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria’s Fun Dog Show that takes place just before the Ballyshaner’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade. As the only dog-friendly coworking community in Old Town Alexandria, supporting our local rescues and local pet services companies is a core commitment of ours.
As the Farmer’s market broke down on Saturday, families and dogs started showing up for the Fun Dog Show. Many dogs were in costume, and if they weren’t, they had some green! We shared our booth space with our dogs’ favorite treats, Pawfectly Delicious Dog Treats (a local non-profit), met lots of local families and other dogs, and some of us sniffed a lot of rear ends!
We were thrilled to talk to WTOP about ALX, the Fun Dog Show, and some of the reasons we decided to be dog-friendly. Both Piper and Erik (our Chief Canine and Housekeeping Officers, respectively), are featured!
