What does a membership at ALX Community include?
SUPER-FAST, RELIABLE INTERNET
All memberships come with super-fast WI-FI access included. If you have a private office you can also connect to the network via a hard-wired (Ethernet) connection. *Private IP addresses are available at an additional cost.
CONFERENCE ROOM TIME
Membership plans include a monthly allocation that can be used to reserve conference rooms. Reservations can be made using the online member portal or via the mobile app.
Flex Unlimited, Dedicated Desk and Private Office Members receive credits to use for conference/meeting room bookings or to reservice day passes.
MEMBER NETWORK
ALX Community is all about sharing experiences with others to improve your productivity and opportunities. Use the online member portal to connect with others in the ALX Community. Search for members by their skill sets and interests, start a group chat by posting on the discussion board or contact a specific person for a private chat. We encourage everyone to ask questions, share stories, announce product launches, invite others to events, promote your job listings in your company, or simply find someone to grab a coffee with.
FURNITURE
Dedicated Desks and Private Offices include desks and comfy chairs.
Flex Unlimited plans include using a seat at the communal tables. Seats are available on a first-come first-serve basis.
PRINTING/COPYING/SCANNING
Each ALX Community space has at least one business class printer and each membership type comes with a monthly free credit allocation for printing. Private office monthly credits will depend on the size of your office. Weekly shredding service is included with your membership.
AMENITIES AND EXTRAS
All ALX Community memberships have a fun mix of amenities and extras including: lockers, phone booths, the honor bar, and complimentary coffee and tea.

What membership plans do you offer?
DAY PASS / VISITOR
Access to our digital Member Network, events and services – perfect for people who wish to connect with our global community but may only need space a one or two days a month.
Access to the space is for 1 day only between 8:30am and 5:30pm. Conference room bookings carry an additional fee.
FLEX UNLIMITED
The perfect option for individuals or small teams on a budget. Get unlimited access to the space 24/7, a shared workspace seat at one of our hot desks, booths, or one of three communal areas, use of all the amenities and access to our exclusive members benefits.
This plan includes access to the ALX Community Member Network, events and services, 24/7 digital key card access, as well monthly credits you may use to book meeting rooms or day passes for your guests.
DEDICATED DESK
You will have 24/7 access to your dedicated desk.

PRIVATE OFFICE
A fully enclosed, lockable office space, complete with individual desks, and comfy chairs. As your company grows you can add more offices and desks with our flexible membership packages.

EXECUTIVE OFFICE
A roomy, furnished, lockable, office located in a separate executive suite. These spacious offices are designed to provide you the privacy you need along with access to community you want.
This plan includes access to the ALX Community Member Network, events and services, 24/7 digital key card access, as well monthly credits you may use to book meeting rooms or day passes for your guests.
Do all memberships begin on the 1st of the month?
You may start your membership any time! If you sign up in the middle of the month you will be charged a pro rata amount. Your conference room credit will be adjusted to reflect the pro rata period.
Are your memberships really month-to-month?
Yes! Memberships are flexible month-to-month commitments that provide you with the stability of an office along with the flexibility you need to grow your business. ALX Community offers longer term commitments and the committment term will vary; call us at +1-703-826-0020 for more information.
What if I'm looking for an office or dedicated desk for a date in the future?
If you’re looking to schedule a start date on a longer timeline, please speak with a Community Manager at your desired location. We’re happy to discuss potential options with you.
Where can I put my bike?
Free covered bike parking is available in the Colonial Garage across from Founders Hall. Uncovered bike parking is available outside the Waterfront location. At the Atrium there is a bike storage room as well.

Can I have multiple mailing address for one account?
Yes, we are able to support multiple mailing addresses for one account at an additional cost.
How does mail handling work?
All mail is sorted and processed by an ALX Community manager once a day. Once mail has been processed, you will receive a notification. Mail is delivered to private offices daily, while Virtual, Flex, and Dedicated Desk members’ mail is stored in our secure mailroom and can be picked up at the front desk during business hours.
Mail forwarding is available at an additional cost.
How do credits work?
Flex Unlimited, Dedicated Desk and Private Office plans all include a monthly credits you can use to reserve meeting rooms or purchase day passes. Unused hours do not rollover from month to month.
How do I reserve a conference room or a workspace?
Reservation for the conference rooms can be made using the Member Portal or the mobile app. Simply select an available conference room at your desired time and the booking platform will calculate the credits needed or whether you need to buy more to complete the reservation.
Conference rooms operate on a first-come, first-served policy and we recommend making a reservation as early as possible to guarantee availability.
What size conference rooms do you have?
Our conference rooms vary in size from location to location. Generally, our conference rooms can accommodate video conference for 1 or meetings up to 150 people.
What is a Day Pass / Visitor Pass?
Access for one day (8:30 AM - 5:30 PM) to a designated work area in the shared/common area, working side-by-side with other members. You'll have space to set up your laptop for the day, a power port and Wi-Fi. In addition, you also have access to a host of amenities specific to the building.
When can I reserve an ALX Community workspace?
Day Pass/Visitors can book their passes Monday through Friday between 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM online.
Does ALX give referral rewards?
Yes! Help your friends and colleagues find the perfect workspace and we’ll reward you with an Alexandria Restaurant Partners voucher when your friends join for annual memberships, which can be redeemed at any of their amazing restaurants.
Does ALX offer preferred parking or discounted rates?
ALX Community has partnered with two local parking garages to provide members parking. Contact us for pricing and details.
When are you open?
While our space is 24/7, your community team is onsite at each location between 9 AM and 5 PM Monday through Friday.
For members with Flex Unlimited, Dedicated Desks, and/or Private offices, your workspace is accessible using the digital key card 24/7.
Can I stop in or should I make an appointment for a tour?

Am I allowed to bring my dog and what is your pet policy?
Yes! We love dogs and our buildings are pet friendly. Please take a look at our Dog Policy.
What is the average square footage of an office?
Every office is uniquely designed and total square footage differs from location to location. Each office provides more than enough room for a team to work comfortably. Schedule a tour to check it out for yourself!
What if my company needs phone service?
VoIP Phone service is currently only available for Private Offices. Please ask your Community Manager for more details.
How do printing credits work?
Flex Unlimited, Dedicated Desk and Private Office membership plans include a monthly credit allocation that can be used for both color and black & white prints and copies. After you have used your allotted printing credits, you are free to keep printing and copying at additional costs - see below for more details.
