  • Metro will start returning service to prepandemic levels starting Sunday. Thanks to CARES Act funding, Metro will restore Silver Line service and begin operating stations from 5 a.m. and 11 p.m. on weekdays. (Washingtonian)
  • D.C. police detained Black Lives Matter protesters late Thursday night in Adams Morgan. There were reports of pepper spray being used by police and one protester was reportedly removed from the area on a stretcher. (DCist)
  • Four attorneys with Maryland Legal Aid were fired after pushing back on plans to reopen offices during the pandemic. More than 125 former Legal Aid employees have called on leadership to reinstate the attorneys. (Washington Post)
